About Ray LaBadie, Owner /President
Upon graduation from Hackettstown High School in Hackettstown N.J., I immediately started working for a construction company, first as a laborer and advanced quickly to a Master Carpenter. The trade of Master Carpenter gave me many strengths and skills to succeed as a General Contractor.
At 22 years of age, I relocated to Englewood, FL. For the first 4 years in Florida I was trained in commercial construction Layout to Lintel multi-story projects, installing concrete form work and iron work. Form work consisted of beams, columns, floor systems, concrete finishing by hand and became an expert in concrete stair construction.
Beginning in 1984, I switched from commercial carpentry for custom homes. I was trained on the job in Florida home building construction techniques. With my experience, I became a lead carpenter.
In 1987, I became job site superintendent for Rick Montgomery Construction, Port Charlotte, FL, supervising residential and commercial projects.
In 1990, I became a State Certified General Contractor (#CGC 052019) and opened R.J. LaBadie Construction, Inc., doing home remodeling, new home construction, and commercial construction.
In March of 2011, I expanded services to include garage doors by opening Doors-N-More Garage doors sales and service. We sell CHI overhead Garage doors from Illinois, Carriage House Custom wood doors of North Carolina, Commercial rollups (Janus and many more), Liftmaster and Genie residential openers, and Liftmaster jackshaft openers. Doors-N-More was voted best in Englewood our first year.
