Home Remodeling Palm Island
We added a new two story addition to this Palm Island home. You can see by comparing the before and after photographs, below, that everything to the left of the stairs (or to the right, from the beach view) is part of the addition we constructed, which contains a new kitchen, master bedroom and loft accessible via spiral staircase. We also installed hardy new siding and several energy efficiency upgrades including "insta-hot" tankless water heaters and Icynene® spray foam insulation. Since this house is located on Palm Island, a location particularly susceptible to hurricane damage, we also installed Anderson impact rated windows for optimum protection from the elements. Remodeling a home on Palm Island comes with its unique set of challenges, as all of our materials, laborers and construction vehicles had to be transported to the island by ferry.
